We are using AB make PLC5/40E (version :J) and PLC5/80E (Version: A/B) controllers with old firmware. We would like to update the firmware. Could anybody through some light on this. I am looking for links, procedures and the latest upgrades available.

IIRC, the update is not free.

 

Thanks Bob. I understand the updates are not free but I got a quote from a local vendor for about $1000 for each controller (CPU Board). We have 18 controllers. Is the quoted price ok?

That sounds about right. Depending on the series it can be different prices.
