Pressure Vs Flow

Hi all,

Hope that someone can help me understand what is the difference between flow and pressure measurement?

If pressure high, flow will be high too?

Thanks

Think of dP flow measurement. The flow thru the orifice plate increases because of the restriction, and the pressure decreases correspondingly. That's how flow is measured using pressure drop thru the orifice. Square root of dP and pressure-temp compensation gives you desired flow.

I think that would be the explanation you need. Pressure is single measurement, flow is considered complicated

Thanks anri.

Hmmm....how about the difference between pressure control valve and flow control valve?

What difference? there is no difference. A control valve is a control valve, whether its flow, pressure, level or temperature measurement.
This is very basic stuff, search on the web.
