I have written a program for aircraft maintenance scheduling and component management and tracking.
As my experience is mainly in the industry enviroment, I want to start on the development of a preventative maintenance package. I would be willing to help you out with any scheduling requirements and perhaps share some ideas.
Without considering instruments, here's some things off the top of my head:
1) If you have UPS system follow mfg's recommendations for battery test / replacement.
2) Make sure you are alerted to firmware / software revisions and install as practical.
3) If you have pcs, they should be protected against unauthorized access and subject to periodic disk maintenance, driver updates, etc.
4) Ensure you have a strict program of access and change control, and maintain all documentation current.
5) Perform control system environmental systems pms too; this includes fan filter cleaning, fan lubrication, and pms on any humidity/temperature control auxiliaries.
6) Make sure any new additions adhere to current established standards.
