I've just subscribed to this list and I want a bit of help from some gurus of automation. I need to connect a IED that communicates over profibus FMS to a SICAM PCC. The standard for PCC is Profibus DP. What do I need for connecting IED over Profibus FMS?

Hello Paul,
Basically you can't do it directly; the ASIC chipset for FMS is different from DP, there is no integrated conversion possible.
But you can have a specialized module accepting FMS signals on one side and converting to a DP port. Have a look at Hilscher's protocol converter, at:
