I am looking for a viable way to use a Siemens S7 200 or 300 as an outstation where the communications will be via Low-Powered Telemetry Radio Modem and the distances will be in the region of 1-2 miles.
The Radio Frequency would be in the 400-470 MHz UHF range.
The Master/Slave can either be a SCADA/PLC or a PLC/PLC arrangment.
I have read about Profibus Radio Bridges but they all seem low-powered, only good for ranges of 250 yds etc.
Has anybody come across any systems similar to this?
