Hi,experts.

I would like to build a Profibus DP test environment for testing a Profibus DP master device. I need some hw/sw master and slave devices to make it and a protocol analysor/monitor to analyse the problem.
Unfortunately, I'm a networking guy and am not familiar with these devices/tools. Could you give me some suggestions about where I can get these devices/tools or what I should get?

Try Softing (http://www.softing.com) who make the software my colleagues use, or the Profibus site (http://www.profibus.com), which will list all that is available and possibly have other useful info.

Profibus has been around for quite some time, and as far as I am aware there are literally hundreds if not thousands of devices which can be connected to the network, a good place to start would be here:

It explains how it works and types of devices which can be used on the network.
