Has anybody successfully proven any Profibus to DeviceNet gateway ?

 

I am in the process of testing a product called the BridgeWay from Pyramid Solutions ("www.pyrasol.com":http://www.pyrasol.com ) in Troy, MI.

The BridgeWay uses a DeviceNet Master scanner library that Pyramid licenses from Allen-Bradley, which is great for me because most of the slave devices I want to use are known to work with A-B masters. The A-B masters also have good features like Auto-Device-Replace and Group 2 Proxy. Best of all, you can configure the DeviceNet scanner side with RSNetworx for DeviceNet software, which all of my A-B customers already know how to use.

Unfortunately, it's a very new product and there aren't very many of them in service yet. Pyramid has a very good reputation for reliability and compatibility, so I'm looking forward to putting their AB-7605 bridge through it's paces next month.
