Now *that* would be a selling point.
And a multi-decade AI research project on its face.
But maybe a lot of it could be faked - as you say, it will have difficulty with strange idiosyncracies (it has to - see "halting problem"), but maybe a fair chunk of it *could* be done with little more than dataflow analysis.
