I'm an electrical engineer, programmer PLC. Day by day I see how difficult is for the local companies to find qualified personnel.
I have an idea for a business; I would like to develop automation projects, in the oil industry here in Colombia. So, I am looking for partnerships in the Automation field, who can help me to start up, but the programming and engineering could be done overseas and I and my work team do the commissioning of the project locally. Can you please tell me what do you think about? Or Am I dreaming?

I would like to know if it possible to develop automation projects even if the PLC programing and Scada system is done overseas. I'm in Colombia and here there is a boom in the oil industry, on the other hand there are not qualified personnel for the development of automation projects in this industry.

We have Engineers that did the programming (control and SCADA) here in Venezuela and only one of them went to Houston for FAT and SAT. We have done the same in Mexico.

In Colombia, a partner company started in the business of Oil Well Drilling with our automation devices and programming help.
