Proper Type of the Detectors in Industrial Chemical Lab

Dear Sirs,
In order to safety regulations we intend to install some detectors in an Industrial Chemical Lab. (including water & Crude oil Laboratory). I would greatly appreciate if you could advise me about the proper type of the detectors which is better to be used for this case? I think the multi smoke sensor detector is good.
