Proportional Solenoid Valve

I am looking for a brand of proportional solenoid valve of 1/4" and 1/2" having the capeability to control fluid flow, such as water, continuously. Of course, the proper controller is in concern. Thanks in advance for your information. My e-mail address is as follows:

I have never seen a proportional solenoid valve, as solenoids are either activated or not activated, therefore either 0% or 100% They can be used for proportional control by adjusting the duty cycle in a time proportioning mode. For some applications this is entirely acceptable. For a more uniform and stable output control, a proportional control valve would be required which can be driven by a 4-20ma signal.

We have proportional type solenoids on hydraulic driven pump units to control the flow of the fluid and thus the speed of the pump. Check some variable speed hydraulic pump makers for the device you are looking for. Also Buekert valves makes proportional type solenoids for fluid and gas control. Follow this link to see a 12mm proportional valve.

BTW I am not affiliated with Buerkert or any other manufacturer.

Hope that helps.

We have valves that will give porportional control of flow with a variable input signal. Please describe the application. Are you going to close the loop? What is pressure, and flow range. How accurate does the flow need to be? What kind of pump are you using?

Hi:

We manufacture proportional solenoid controlled valves ranging in orifice sizes from .010" to .625" for gases as well as liquids. These are truly proportional valves that can be controlled either with straight dc signal or pwm. We have standard off-the-shelf valves you can buy and test. We also custom design valves to suit individual applications. Go to www.iqvalves.com

Your best bet --- customer service and getting the right product is to contact South Bend Controls --www.sbcontrols.com -- they pioneered the technology back in the 80's and have experience in most types of applications. Call 1-574-234-3157 -- ask for Deron K -- application engineer.

Thanks
