I am looking for a protocol stack with an OPC interface on NT4/Win2000, for what used to be called the Siemens H1 Ethernet Bus (for
S5/S7), nowadays apparently called INDUSTRIAL ETHERNET.

Siemens provides a solution (The CP1613 PCI card + software), but the package is outrageously expensive. Does anyone know of an alternative
software solution.

We have installed several "Industrial Ethernet" networks using a standard (cheap) ethernet cards and the appropiate software from Siemens (I don't remember the name of the software...I think it's Simatic NET ). but we didn't test it with SINEC H1 (your case).

Normal LAN cards (e.g. DLINK 538TX ) work well with H1. You can use Simatic NET OPC Server. Works out much cheaper than CP1613 option.

Also, INAT makes OPC Servers for SINEC-H1
