Hi,

I'm trying to communicate with a Momentum PLC, which is connected to the network through an adapter from Modbus/RTU to Modbus/TCP (the adapter is "PAD LITE" - produced by "Sanpeople"). I can communicate with it using Modscan software, but when I try to communicate with it with Proworx32 I get an error. What can be the reason?

Thanks,
Galia

In Proworx you should select a "Gateway" connection instead of Modbus/TCP. You can use the NR&D one if it does not have the Sanspeople bridge.

Perhaps the bridge device that you are using doesn't support the Modbus Function codes that ProWorx32 uses for programming? There are several "not documented" codes that ProWorx (and all other programming packages) use when programming the PLC, and the bridge might only support the standard read/write register type commands. You might want to try another bridge device, like the CEV from Modicon, to see if that works.
