I've got a 6" mini serial connected to the RJ11 port on a 90-30 352 processor. When any button is pushed that writes to a bit in the PLC, I get the error message "PLC COM. ERROR (02:02:00)" despite the fact that it seems to be communicating otherwise.

I've tried downloading from Cimplicity 5 with SP2,3 & hotfix 13 as well as QuickDesigner sp3 and nothing has helped.

Anybody have a similar experience?

You likely have something about the address wrong. Double check your addressing on that button.

The address was fine.

I found out later that the person who finally solved the problem said it had to do with password or user rights.

I dunno. It that's the case, it would have been nice to have a more specific error message.

 

I had the same problem when I was using a laptop that was not capable of running an upgraded version of machine edition (v5.50). Anytime I downloaded the addresses were getting mixed up. I had to go and straighten out one by one.
