• Using Matrikon-OPC explorer, we are getting frequent and intermittent freeze/stop is reading DCS tags from Foxboro System.
  In fact, the Update Time intermittently follows the Current Local Time for 1 to 2 minutes, and freezes for 2 to 5 minutes. And again gets updated !
  When Update Time is following the Current Local Time, CimIo Test-API Read/Get results are successful.
• When Update Time freezes, the CimIo Test-API Read/Get results give errors.
• What can be the problem: License? Windows patches?...

You state "gives error " but can you be more explicit ( error code/tag /message)

 

Ar you trying to read values & time stamps can you confirmI know that there is Command for time stamp inMatrikonOPC explorer

Have a search on OPCITEMSTATE
