I'm planning to use WinCC in small weighing plant. There are 4 main ingredients and many (about 40) additional. Any ideas how to prepare recipes? Or where to find examples?

 

Buy the User Archives option for WinCC. It will save you alot of time.

 

If you are using Siemens PLC, then you can use a Special Function Module [Siwarex]. It connects directly to a load cell and has information package to use with WinCC.

Another way that I have implemeneted this solutions is using the C-Script of WinCC and the storage of data in a binary file. The weighing logic was coded in the PLC. Another alternative to using the C-Script is to use the WinCC interface with database. A good site for this is: http://www.wincc.net

There are FAQs and manuals that you can download.

There is an option called "User Archives" that can be used for recipe mgt.
It has many other functions as well.
