Recomendations for Field Calibrating DP Transmitters Used in Very Low DP Applications?

Thread Starter

I'm looking for any tips for field calibrating DP transmitters used for water (or similar) flow meters where the transmitter is scaled to 0"-15" water column or lower. Please don't all talk at once!!
1) Make sure you can isolate the transmitter from the process.

2) Use something like the GE Druck DPI610P handheld calibrator which has ranges from plus/minus 1 to plus/minus 60" wc. I'm sure there are other brands/models.

Otherwise, there's clear tubing, water and a yardstick/rule), which is has the advantage of being Intrinsically Safe. However, resolution is dependent on one's eyesight and the rule/yardstick graduations.
