I need acquire the data displayed by an Red Lion TCU unit using RS485 network to an SLC500 processor. I have the command list to do it, but I need directions on how manage the half duplex communications (I have to set the RS232 port to ASCII mode, dont I?)

Hello Mr. Becerra,
Since you are using the RS232 port in ASCII set-up, you will require a RS232/RS485 converter. The ICM50000 is Red Lion's din rail mount DC powered converter.
