Redundant InBatch

Hello List:

We have two InBatch unlimited servers, in a redundant configuration mode, and linked to several InTouch nodes, on an small dedicated LAN, with a switch. We understand that the two InBatch nodes must have a direct cable connecting them (Not using the switch), in order for the redundancy to work. Is this correct ?

Thanks in advance,

It's best to have two nic cards in the servers. One for network communications to the switch for client nodes. Then on the second NIC have a crossover cable between the servers. This way heartbeat detection is not interupted by network communications. This is typically a minimum configuration in a clustered type environment.

Now we have problems with BatchMngr service in this redundancy system. The systems works very good, but in any moment the BatchMngr, goes from running to Error status.

What could be the reason for that situation?
