I have inhereted Modsoft & Concept at my new job without any manuals and I'm not familiar with these products.

My manager has asked me to setup a remote dial-in service for our clients.

Most of the PLCs already have modems fitted and I have the required passwords and numbers.

I've used a modem dialer for Modsoft with limited results, but Concept reports that the port is open when I try to connect.

Any info to ease my pain would be useful.

The problem is that Windows doesn't allow different applications to share the modem/COM port.

Follow the link below, the document provides instructions for getting around this on page 8. We've always done this with a USR 56K external modem, internal modems always give us grief.
