I want to program a Quantum PLC from a remote location.
The way I want to do it is:
Connecting a local computer with WXP or W2k and Modsoft to the PLC with Modbus Plus. Connecting a remote computer to the local computer with VNC, pcAnywhere or similar. Launch Modsoft in a DOS window on the local computer. Not Full Screen because VNC and alike will not work.
Questions:
Is it advisable to launch Modsoft in a DOS window? What can happen?
What adjustments I have to make in the properties of the DOS window (memory, etc.)?
Are there some other pitfalls I didn't think about them?
Any other ways to that?
