I have a optical converter (OMC), which converts the industrial ethernet TCP/IP to fiber optic.
I want to know is it possible to replace the industrial ethernet with the Modbus? Would I have any problem with this?

Sorry but I couldn't get your question. Ethernet and Modbus are completely different things. So please give some brief discription of your problem and what exactly you want to do.
