What is the difference between restriction orifice and pressure control valve(PCV)even though function of both of them is same. Both of them are used to kill the pressure on downstream side

The restriction orifice is a fixed hole the fluid must pass through. This is usually used to limit flow to a maximum rate or to take a pressure drop at the RO rather than on a valve.

The PCV modultaes to maintian a fixed pressure. It effectivelay has a variable hole in it.

Basically it comes down to cost & longevity (orifice) vs. flexibility (valve). Pressure reducing orifices are a specific size. A valve can be adjusted as conditions warrant. The orfices we make have special pressure reducing features that are less destructive than in a typical valve.

The differnce is: Orifice reduces the maximum flow, the pressere control regulates a certain amount of pressure, regardless if there is flow or not.
