Robust Control Of helicopter systems

I am a student. I am in my final year. The above title is my final year project. I have used pole placement and did some simulations in Matlab. I am currently studying feedback linearization and going to apply some linear control schemes. I am thinking of applying sliding mode control also.

I am asking for your advice here. Is there anything different I can do? Am I going in the right direction?
