Anyone to give me information on ROMAP, which seems to be a norm on interfaces between PC and plastic press.

I think you're referring to the EUROMAP standard. At my previous employer, I dealt with EUROMAP 12 a lot, which details the connections
between the press and robot (handling device). I think you are looking for EUROMAP 15, which explains the protocol between the press and a PC. Euromap is on the web at http://www.euromap.org
