I need to connect from a DTE RS232 Com Port which uses a Command Request Protocol, but a device is already connected to it and there are no other Com Port to add and connect, Is there any possibility that I could still connect to the DTE RS232 Com Port that they are using, what do I need to add or do, If ever i manage to connect to the Com Port will it have a bad effect on their present connected device? remember that it uses a Command Request Protocol.......

 

If you have only one comm port on the PC, ur basic need is to add comm port to the PC. There are many comm port expander cards available in the market, u can fit them in PCI bus of ur computer and it will add comm port to ur PC and then by using that port u can communicate using ur programm.
