Hi,
let's say i have one remote PLC and one local PLC communicating using RS232, for real time control. Local PLC is the communication master.
Occasionally, i will need to "disconnect" the local PLC and connect a PC to the remote PLC for programming purpose.
Since the "local" computer will be accessed via Web remote control, only way i founded is to have an operator on site safely switch the RS-232 connections by using a manual DB9 switching box.
Since i need Txd, Rxd, Rts, Cts and Gnd (5 pins) to be switched, do anyone know a "remote controlled RS-232 switching device" that will be controlled via electrical signal (TTL, 12Vdc, 24Vdc, etc.) so i can control it via a PLC output?
Thanks for your advices
