I am trying to connect the OPC Test Client provided by Rockwell to the RSLinx Remote OPC Server. I am able to connect, to add a group and to add items, but I am not able to read data.

"Invalid Data" appears in the field Sub-Value and
"Uncertain" appears in the field "Sub-Quality".

I think that I have made all the DCOM settings. Does anybody know which is the problem?

Are you using RSLinx Gateway?

 

did you install the remote opc client. it is in the RSLinx CD. Check teh ROckwell knowledge base, they some information on this issue.
