RSView Runtime

I'm using RSView Studio Machine Edition to create a runtime application but I get a message that says: "Unable to save tag database" after clicking on the OK button the window just closes and doesn't create the file.

Anybody has a clue as to what could be causing this message box to appear.

Any help would be greatly appreaciated.

I had this problem too. Its a known bug. I think the fix involved a reinstall of the software.

Hi Isaac and Bob,
Try following step :

Ensure that RSView Studio is closed
(1) Open the project folder in Windows Explorer. Located in:
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents or Shared Documents(XP
PRO)\RSView Enterprise\ME\HMI projects\Your Project Name
(2) Open the "cache" folder of your current project, and delete the folder
named "RDMDATA".
(3) Reboot computer

Hope this help and please let know us the result

Have you checked the task manager to see if thee is memory leakage or something of the sort that would create this situation.. a reboot SHOULD reclaim the memory so some testing may be required??

RSView is main stream, so I wouldn't think that this is a problem that is fundamental to the product.. but more the local install..??
