SCADA CIMPLICITY WITH S7-300

Hello,
I am trying to set a connection between an S7-300 PLC and the computer in which the HMI/SCADA CIMPLICITY 8.0 software is installed.

Could someone explain with simple steps how can I configure new (device) points, one for a digital input and one for a digital output in the PLC, so that a cimedit screen can communicate with the specific input/output?
