[SCADA] What is an .mps file?

Hey guys, I have just had some .mps files dropped into my lap that the potential customer says, "I think they're Wonderware files."

Regardless they are supposed to be SCAD files, and they aren't Wonderware files so far as I can figure out. No copy of Wonderware I have around here seem to be willing to play with them, but I know I'm a couple of years out of date.

Anyone know what these are? My dim memory say Factory Link backup files, but I'd have to dig up a CD and install it to try. I just figured it's easier to ask if anyone knows off the top of their head first.

mps files are indeed FactoryLink archives. mps means "multi-platform save".

I've used it to transport applications from Windows to Unix.

Hi,
This kind of file is associated to FactoryLink or Monitor Pro SCADA/HMI (they are "twins" progams technically) and should be a backup of some app.

Best regards.

Your .mps files are FactoryLink multi-platform save files. Your app is saved in the form of a text file that was intended to be importable into other manufacturers SCADA apps. Not sure who, if any, are compatible.
