What is the role of Economiser in Refrigaration cycle with screw compressor? How much (%) less refrigaration can be calculated if economiser is bypassed.

The economiser takes advantage of times when the outside air temperature is less than the refrigeration temperature to shed some or all of the compressor load and cool directly with outside air. Bypassing it will not decrease refrigeration capacity, it will increase your operating expenses. The impact depends on where you are located. Northern/Southern climates benifit most from economisers during the winter months. They are of little use during the summers months or in tropical climates.

A screw compressor that has a secondary suction port between the primary compressor suction and discharge ports can be fitted with an economizer to improve compressor efficiency and increase useful refrigeration capacity.

The effectiveness of an economizer is a function of the pressure ratio. A R22 compressor running at 3600 rpm and a screw discharge temperature of 165°F will have capacity gain due to economizer of from 15% at 3:1 pressure ratio to 25% at 6:1 pressure ratio. Over this same pressure ratio range, efficiency improvement due the economizer will go from none to 15%.

Hope this helps.

almost 20 years, now to answer this question:
The effectiveness of an economizer is a function of the pressure ratio. A R22 compressor running at 7200 rpm and a screw discharge temperature of 165°F will have capacity gain due to economizer of from 32% at 1:1 pressure ratio to 52% at 8:1 pressure ratio. Over this same pressure ratio range, efficiency will be improved by the economizer will go from 0 to 15%.
