Hi experts;

Good day. I want to install a gas flow meter to measure the consumption of fuel on Gas turbine.

The parameters as under
Pressure = upto 200 PSI
temperature = 180 deg f
Flow = upto 60 MSCFH

which type of meter is more accurate and which model i select and what are the prices?
Please guide me for selection of flow meter?
Regards

The line size is 2 inch diameter.
please guide me.

I believe a very accurate meter would be a coriolis meter. I would look at Micromotion coriolis flowmeter. Once it is setup it can display mass flow, volumetric flow, and is very accurate. You can probably find lots of info if you google Micromotion.

Fuel gas is often low pressure. In domestic situations PD meters used are of the diaphragm type (tin case meters) but as we move to industrial turbine types are common and roots type PD meters.
Both are very inexpensive.

Depending on the application you may use the simple temperature and pressure correction approach and still have a very affordable solution.

But, again dependent on the gas and conditions, there comes a point where density correction is used instead of PTZ because the conditions warrant it.

In some industrial fuel gas applications you may find multiple parameters measured and reported including relative density.
Relative density meters the frame when the gas supply quality is variable. For example, in a refinery the natural gas supply may be stripped of some of the methane and butane as feedstocks for petrochemicals and what is left can be of very variable quality.
The relative density meter is used for wobbe index calculations and so on.

I would suggest downloading a manual for the 7950 gas flow computer from Emerson.

Try this page (http://www2.emersonprocess.com/en-U...ters/3098-gas-gravity-meters/Pages/index.aspx) and look at the 7812 and 3098 for manuals and data sheets.
Then go to this page (http://www2.emersonprocess.com/en-U...rals-tools/signal-converters/Pages/index.aspx) and look for the manuals on the 7950 signal converters - gas software.

For fiscal as meters try Stream Measurement here:
