Serial connecting to compact logix via USB converter

I have a GoldX GXMU-1200 converter which works fine except for not doing an auto connect.

I want the auto connect function for when I arrive at a PLC where the settings of the port are not known
The GoldX times out saying no packet response. Does someone know where to change the time that It waits for a response?

Any reply welcome.
