I am running RSLogix 500 on my PC to communicate with a Micrologix and I want to monitor the comm port using the same PC that I am running
RSLogix 500 on. Is this possible or will I need to use another PC to do this.

 

Go to "http://www.sysinternals.com":http://www.sysinternals.com and download PortMon (free). This monitors ports without needing any cables.

you will have to use other computer as the registers will be empty when you want to read them.
