I am unable to locate a complete serial class in linux platfor so if any one knows of any of such please be kind enough to let me know.

Pardon me, lots of reading errors lately. Try Freshmeat and the bigger Linux archives like Ibiblio.org (was sunsite then metalabs)
also the Scientific applications for Linux site (hit google for the URL). Gotta slow down my mail scan, I misread your request as classes
in serial programming. I'm not big on OOP :^).

Check the ost::TTYStream class.

Project is under the GNU GPL with the permission to link your code with the CommonC++ library without your code falling under the GPL.

language? There are scores of C++, Java and Python class definitions for serial comm; which ones have you looked at, and what did you find
missing from them?
