Has anybody on the list recently come across a website or an article showing the market share in North America of various manufacturers of servo controllers and servo motors?

 

Go to www.arcweb.com. They do the definitive servo, CNC and general motion control studies in the US.

Ed Ross with Ross Associates typically does an annual write up on the state of the Motion Industry. As such he outlines the biggest players
and approximate market share. The last report he wrote that I have a copy of is dated June of 97. Stellar performers were listed as Delta Tau (47% growth), Emerson Motion Controls division (38% growth) and Galil (27% Growth) against an overall motion industry growth rate of about 20% on average. These numbers reflect a 5 year period from 1991 to 1996. You take a look at
