Siemens 810 G - multichannel options

Does any one have any experience in using the multichannel option in 810G? I am trying to control 2 machines using a single PLC & system ie I am planning to split the Axis into 2+1 ie the same plc controls a 2 axis machine & a single axis machine independantly. Can someone advise me as to how this can be done.
