Hi All.
I am currently looking into National Instrument's beginners SCADA package called "Lookout". I want to get information across from a Siemens S7-300 PLC through the MPI Port.
Now apparently the only way this can be done is through a HMI adapter from Siemens (Very costly in South Africa) or through a Applicom Card (Even more costly in South Africa).
I was wondering if there is anybody out there that can tell me if there is any other (hopefully cheaper) way of doing this.

Run from Lookout! It's very awkward compared to just about anything else out there in the price range.

Progea sells an adapter cable.You just plug into your ethernet card RJ45 and it works for MPI Protocol as well, very low cost: http://www.progea.com
