I was assigned to make changes in the driver which connect CP524 to screenware via TTY. Does anyone know how to open and edit the driver, the name in *.525? Currently, I use Step5 ver 3.2

For programming a *.525 driver you need COM525 which operating underneed STEP5. I don't know of with the (very) old version of STEP5 you are using it will work !?

You have also look for which CP-card it is:
1. 6ES5525-3UA11 --> you need a very old COM-package which working on a PG675 or look-a-like.
2. A 6ES5525-3UA21 or a 6ES5524-3UA13, then you need COM525 under S5-DOS.

You would require the COM525 package installed on your PC to be able to open these files.
