After connecting cable to PLC and PC, S5 for windows is started. After comming up, I initiate ICON "PLC block list". A popup window appears that states "S5 for Windows, Warning NO: 3120 Serial link to PLC can't be opened. Code=7161". Any help would be appreciated. As I am active on the production floor, if you could e-mail it to me at [email protected] I would be very appreciative.

 

Hi, I think that You have a problem with windows of PC... (You must switch off a power managment in the register of windows) A problem was described on Siemens web...
