I would like to ask, how is the memory consumption of a given PLC is calculated? specifically Siemens CPU-315-2 PN/DP? I can't find it in the help file, and I want to check the CPU if it can handle 49 analog inputs and some digital input and output...

Can someone give me an idea on how it is done?

The gen2/3 315 2PN/DP can handle up to 32K DI/DO or up to 2048 AI/AO or a mix of the two. The local rack is limited to 256 AI and 256 AO, the rest are done through profibus or profinet I/O.
