i am writing a HMI for Siemens S7-300. i have a CP341 communications card. i am going to use modbus to communicate. hence i am wondering if i should be getting the modbus master or modbus slave driver for the CP341. thanks all

Normally HMI is master on the bus, so you have to install the modbus slave into the CP341.

Why do you want to use modbus? I would expect to use MPI or Profibus. or perhaps there's a problem of driver.
