When will siemens adapt the SOFTNET for XP windows? The S7 software is working quite well under XP windows, but only with MPI connection.

 

No exact date is set yet, But I was told the last quarter 2002.

 

It also limps along with a CP5511 but if you unplug the adaptor cable then you get an NT-esque blue screen. It does recover, although you get error messages from XP and sometimes it goes as far as to not even reboot and you have to reload XP.

Not a thrilling thought.
