1st case: Foundation fielbus segment has only one megablock (model MTL FCS MB-8-SG-T). when we measure the signal to signal capacitance it reads less than 1 μF which is allowed. By the way, client requirement is that the capacitance value shall be less than 1 μF to obtain good communication on the segment.
2nd case: Foundation fieldbus segment has two megablocks due to needs, megablock model are (MTL FCS MB8-SG and MTL FCS MB8-SG-T). In this case, only MTL FCS MB8-SG-T has the terminator which is having the capacitance value, but when we measure the signal to signal capacitance, it reads 2.2 μF which exceeds the allowable 1 μF.
Does any body here can help me what is the possible problem?
