SIL3 PLC Online modifications

We are going to to install Yokogawa Prosafe-RS 2oo2D SIL3 PLCs for ESD & FGS applicationsortly as part of revamp projects. Currently we are having Trigard TMR CS300 & SC300E SIL2 PLCs although will be phased out due to End of life cycle. These systems are having application program up load feature from Controller to the engineering server/ station for error free editing and subsequent transfer back to the controller in ON-LINE Mode.

Is there any specific guide line from IEC61508/511 Standard for application program up load in SIL3 PLCs or any restrictions?

Please advise from your experience
