Simulation Device via DD files of Foundation Fieldbus

Is possible to create the simulated device by using the Fieldbus Device Description files? My requirement is here if I give the DD files in to my Simulator Application that should be able to create that device functionality on the simulated device. Here my question: Is DD file information enough to create the simulated device? Please if anybody knows information regarding this please let me know.

The DD file contains a lot of information about the FF device. Much more than you would need to simulate it.
To simulate the device you only require the I&O and the Device parameters that are defined in the DD file.

Yes. You can create a DD without actually having an associated physical device. This is called offline configuration. The host computer software will be able to create an offline configuration including the blocks and
parameters described in the DD. You also need a Capabilities File (CF). All in all you need three files.

Take a look at chapter 3 in the book "Fieldbuses for Process Control: Engineering, Operation, and Maintenance" (buy online in hardcopy or download immediately in softcopy):

Yes, you can create the virtual devices with offline configuration; as Jonas stated, you also need to have Capability file (so called CFF file).

To have a good example of device simulation and offline configuration, you can download the free NI-FBUS Configurator 3.1 Evaluation version from the link below:

With the included Online Tutorials, you will learn how to create virtual devices with DD and CFF files, and how to build your application with the simulated devices.
