I want to simulate a cogeneration plant for my research purpose. Is there any such software available in the market (like MATLAB) for simulation of cogeneration / Power plant? Plz help me out.

Thanks n Regards,

GE sells gatecycle (R) (http://www.ge-mcs.com/en/bently-nevada-software/performance/gate-cycle.html) software for simulation. There are many other packages also but most come with a hefty price tag. These are geared towards aspects of performance calculations. It is not clear if that is the purpose of your research.

Modelling a combined cycle power plant in MATLAB Simulink accurately will be a daunting task, although I am sure that someone must have done it already. However the commercially available packages like Gatecycle (R) are probably your best bet to get the most accurate results. Making one in MATLAB will tantamount to re-inventing the wheel.
