we have rslogix software with slc 500. we have to set up wireless comm. and we have 4 remote nodes and v hv to give diff. node number. v also cannot set up wireless comm. but hv access with rs232 reply

Can you ping the SLC? You set up the SLC with an ethernet driver in RSLinx just like you would with a wired ethernet connection.
I've seen latency problems and problems with broadcast/multicast (UDP and IGMP) packages with wireless implementations that push the envelope when it comes to distances, etc. These seem to make the RSLinx connection irregular or not work.
Can you connect properly over a wired ethernet connection? That's probably the best place to begin.
