Slip Resistance Calculation

Can anybody help me to add slip resistance to reduce the high kick current of the slip ring motor using for cane cutter. The rating of the motor is 900KW, 11KV 50HZ, 0.77PF, 590RPM,65.1A, Rotor volts are 1550V 360A. The running load current of motor is 45 to 60A but some time with huge heaps of cane the current exceed to 200A and get trip by high over current. The rotor starter is equipped with liquid starter. For testing we removed the star contractor and keep 25% resistance in circuit of the liquid resistance as result the motor behaved soft. Now we need to add additional slip resistance.
